Join us for a 1-day conference that’s both inspiring and educational. You’ll dive deep into the ALA’s core programs through interactive and engaging sessions, ensuring you leave with new insights and renewed energy. This conference covers many of the American Legion Auxiliary Mission Outreach programs, all presented in a fun and supportive environment.

National Junior Meeting
Junior members aged 8 and older are invited to attend our National Junior Meetings. These sessions are packed with fun, interactive activities designed to engage and inspire. By bringing the meeting closer to our Juniors and holding it on a weekend, we hope to make it more accessible for everyone.

ALA Mission Training is a fun, informative one-day interactive training session designed to help all Auxiliary members learn how to more effectively serve the ALA’s mission. Attendees learn about ALA’s mission outreach programs benefiting veterans, military, and families in our communities. This year, a sixth Saturday venue was added!

Again this year: national Junior meetings will be held at the same time as Mission Training, one in each ALA national division, and on a Saturday. Since there’s no need to miss school, national Junior meetings are now more accessible than ever! Lots of activities are planned to help Juniors learn about the ALA’s mission and how our youngest members can use their time and talent to serve veterans.
The American Legion Auxiliary is providing all members with the tools they need to help grow the organization as a team. The Academy courses are designed to help members learn online and at no cost to them.

ALA 101: Member Orientation — Provides a history and overview of the ALA. Explains who we are, what we do, and why we matter. ALA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion — ALA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion was created to help our members recognize biased language and performance bias and implement strategies to overcome them; identify and properly use interrupters to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all; and demonstrate the ability to coach others on the importance of inclusion and equity within ALA. ALA Branding – Provides an overview of branding and explains how the Auxiliary’s brand impacts the reputation and overall mission of the ALA. You’ll learn why brand loyalty is critical to the ALA’s future and discover ways to build brand loyalty. Learn More
ALA Communication Methods — Explains how ALA National Headquarters uses various electronic communication methods to provide your department (state) and unit with information and resources to help carry out the Auxiliary’s mission. Unit Fundraising and American Legion Auxiliary Foundation Grants — Provides an overview of planning, marketing, and executing a successful fundraiser for your unit. You’ll also learn about the four types of grants awarded by the ALA Foundation and become familiar with the application process. Learn More
Introduction to Conflict Resolution — Examines the benefits and costs of conflict and explains common causes of conflict. You’ll learn the difference between conflicts and complaints and identify effective strategies to minimize complaining and resolve conflict in a professional, positive, and proactive manner. ALA Leadership: Living Our Motto of Service Not Self — Defines leadership as a mission mindset and explains core competencies of effective ALA leaders. Gives an overview of how to develop your own personal leadership proficiencies. You’ll create a personal leadership development plan that will help you grow as a leader who works toward the ALA mission and inspires others to help move the mission forward. Learn More
