This year’s Mid-Winter Leadership Conference will be held at the Albany Marriott, 189 Wolf Road, Albany, New York 12205. Rooms are $117.00 per night. As always, you will need to present your tax exempt form ST-119.5 filled out and signed with an original signature at the time of check in. Deadline for hotel reservations is January 1, 2026.
There will also be the annual Junior Meeting and Elections by the Department Junior Activities Chairman Cathy Yerdon. A separate Junior member registration form is also enclosed.
The cost of the two-day conference will be $50.00 for Senior members and $25.00 for Junior members. This includes all the conference printing expenses, room and technology rental fees and Saturday morning breakfast.
This year we would like to invite all who are attending to bring non-perishable items to be donated to VA Medical Center Food Pantries and Veterans Outreach Centers or Programs. We will also be holding an optional service project event beginning at 3pm on Saturday. This event will cost $20 a person, to cover the cost of the materials to create tie blankets for Veterans and cards to accompany the blankets.
Complete the form and return it to the department office with payment no later than January 2, 2026.

Honorary Junior officers traditionally include president, vice president, chaplain, historian, secretary, and sergeant-at-arms, and are likely to follow the structure of the unit or department. Any honorary Junior officer elected is solely an honorary, courtesy position without any formal recognition and with no official or formal duties. An honorary Junior officer must be paying dues as a Junior member for the membership year in which she is installed. Honorary Junior officers are a great way for our Junior members to learn about the ALA and our mission. Juniors could be paired with the senior officers to learn the duties and responsibilities of that office.
