                Membership Support Team

Let’s Strive to fill the Hive

 Membership Transmittal Form & Guidelines

Dear Team Members:

Let’s work together and strive to fill the hive.  There is a saying “You will get more with honey than vinegar”.  Let’s sweeten the pot for our membership.  Units, Counties, and District’s working together in harmony creating a buzz throughout the Department will achieve our goal and fill the hive.

The buzz word for membership is “VETERANS ADVOCATES”.

Just as within the real bee population some of our bees have swarmed away.  Are they consumed by the virus? Could there be dissention within the hive?  Perhaps they are facing hard times like so many and just need a hand up to pay their dues.  Are they now residing in a nursing home?  These are just a few of the reasons why bees may swarm from the hive.  The Bee Keeper is here to help, along with the “Membership Support Team”; (Formerly UD&R) to gather those bees’s and bring them back to the hive.

Let’s not leave them to swarm again, our Do Bee Certified Leaders will help mentor and train new bees and honey bees.  Plan a leadership workshop in your hive to educate all the honeybees on our programs.  BEE prepared, Bee creative, BeeLieve in our organization.

What an opportunity we have for generating membership through our programs, community service, public relations, Warriors Family Assistance, just to highlight a few.  If the worker bees are tiring out and having a hard time making it to the hive, we have got to get out there and get those new bees.

Become a DO BEE and start the buzz about membership for 2009-2010.

Bee Positive - Working together we can fill the hive!

"Let's Strive to Fill the Hive"

Our National organization has renamed our Unit Development and Revitalization team.  They are now the “Membership Support Team”.  This title certainly fits the hive here in New York.  Teamwork is the key to filling the hive, as we work together to build our membership base (the hive).

Please don’t hesitate to call on your Membership Support Team, these members are very capable “Do Bee’s” and are trained to assist you with any challenges your Unit may be facing.  We are armed with a resilient team that can eliminate the dreaded Bee virus from consuming your hive and diminishing your honey.
