Evelyn M. Sheldon, Past Department President

Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home Biography Mrs. Sheldon was born in
Tonawanda, NY on June 15, 1917 daughter of the late William and Freda (Stierz)
Studier. She was a graduate of Tonawanda High School and Buffalo State
College. She has lived in Middleport since l938. She and her husband Warren
"Tom" Sheldon were married in Kenmore, NY on June 29, 1946. Mrs. Sheldon enjoyed her
family and was an Auxiliary member of Clute Phillips American Legion Post
#938, serving in many offices. She had been President of the Niagara County
and 8th District American Legion Auxiliary and was President of the NYS
American Legion. May

deep sorrow I bring you the sad news that
Marian S. Love
"Another angel among us."
She will be waked at Hardison Funeral Home, Ransomville, NY Biography
Marian S. Love, age 82 of Ransomville NY,
died Monday March 15, 2010 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a
brief illness. She was a member of the Ransomville Baptist Church and the Women's Fellowship of the Church. Marian was a 61 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary O. Leo Curtiss Post #830 and its' 40 & 8; Past President of Niagara County American Legion Auxiliary and Past Chaplain of the Department of New York, American Legion Auxiliary under the leadership of Past Department President, Anna Ballard; a member of the Order of Eastern Star #374 Ransomville Chapter; the Ransomville Rural Retirees; the Eastern Niagara County Retired Teachers; the NY State United Teachers and National Teachers Associations; and a member of the St. Francis Guild of Mt. St. Mary's Hospital where she had volunteered for 24 years. Marian loved spending time with her family and friends, and traveling. She had been to all 50 States, most of them with her late husband in their motor home. She is survived by her children, Linda L. (Joseph) Connell of Niagara Falls, NY, Robert (Tina) Love of Seminole, FL, Carol (Michael) Conroy of Niagara Falls, NY, and William (Colleen) Love of Ransomville; six grandchildren, two step grandchildren, one great grandchild, six step great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. The American Legion Auxiliary Service will be held on Thursday at 7:00 PM followed by the Eastern Star Service at 7:30 PM. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 19, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Gorrow officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd. Town of Cambria. It is with profound sadness
that I report the death of Anna (Ann) Duguette Anna (Ann) Duguette
"Another angel among us."
PLATTSBURGH — Anna Duquette, 85, passed
away peacefully March 18, 2010, at CVPH in Plattsburgh with her family at
her side. She was born in Plattsburgh Nov. 8, 1924, the daughter of James
and Julia Harrison; sister of James, Ann and Marion Harrison. Anna was very dedicated to her family, the American Legion and Auxiliary and her country; she was a 64-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She served on all the committees in the unit and the county. She was the unit president several times as well as 4th District president. She served on the 1776 Unit, county and state committees from 1971 to 1976. She was the designer of the "76" NY State patch and also served on the pin committee. For a number of years, she volunteered in Albany at the VA Hospital in the "Gift Shop program" for the veterans. She was a member of the 8-40, Red Hatters and Ladies Club. She bowled for 48 years with American Legion Post 20. She loved roller and ice skating as a youngster. She worked at Clare and Carl's on the Lake Shore Road for 18 years, American Legion Post 20 for four-and-a-half years and Michigan Plus for 20 years.
There will be a memorial service Saturday,
March 27, at the Old Base Chapel at 10 a.m.
The family requests that all donations be
made to the American Legion Auxiliary. May
